Why Portugal is more than the final address

What official sources support

• first EU entry country, transit, final Portuguese address and accompanying person are known;
• the airline or ground carrier has confirmed crate, weight, booking and document rules in writing.

When the private scenario may be wrong

If a puppy or kitten is bought in Ukraine, transferred to a new owner in Portugal, transported by a courier or flies separately from the owner, do not automatically call it private pet travel. Sale, adoption or transfer can require a different procedure and responsible party.
